Abstract

The PGHPF High Performance Fortran compiler from The Portland Group, Inc. (PGI) supports all HPF 1.1 extensions to Fortran 90 and a growing number of HPF 2.0 features. Production applications in ocean modeling, seismic exploration, geophysical modeling, ab initio chemistry, accelerator physics, cluster physics, and astrophysics have been successfully ported to HPF using the PGHPF compiler.

This talk will outline PGHPF features that have been critical to the success of these codes, give an overall summary of the current status of PGHPF and related application development tools, and discuss HPF 2.0 features and new optimizations currently being implemented for future releases of PGHPF.
