The FITS Toolset

Starting with FORESYS the user can clean and analyze a code. The Graphical Interface Module (GIM) helps give an overall picture of the structure of the code and enables the user to navigate through it. FORESYS can be used to migrate Fortran 77 to Fortran 90 code. In one of the tasks within the FITS project the endusers tested this to migrate their code.

After error checking and code cleaning with FORESYS, TSF offers some transformations and allows the code to be prepared for performance checks.

VAMPIR displays post mortem performance information in various displays that are linked to source code information. This relation between performance information and navigation within the code together with the transformation capabilities of TSF can be used to tune the performance of the code.
